The Town also reserves the right to take factors into consideration other than price in awarding the bid.

Akeley Memorial Building HVAC Replacement [Due March 6]

The Town of Stowe Vermont will receive bids from qualified bidders, in the Office of the Town Manager, Akeley Memorial Building, P.O. Box 730, 67 Main Street, Stowe, Vermont, 05672 until Thursday, March 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. local time, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.  

The project consists of installing new propane boilers, circulator pumps, heat pumps, a roof-top unit, including ornamental screening at the historic Akeley Memorial Building. 

The successful bidder will be required to meet the project schedule and furnish a Certificate of Insurance meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents upon contract award.

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities and consider bidders qualifications and factors other than price in award considerations if, in the opinion of the Town Manager, it is in the best interest of the Town to do so.

Copiers and Printers [March 11]

The Town of Stowe is working with the SPC Cooperative Bidding Process and is requesting competitive bids for copiers and printers. Vendors are being notified on Monday, February 17, 2025 and bid responses will be due by 5:00 pm, Tuesday, March 11, 2025.

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities and consider Bidders qualifications and factors other than price in award considerations if, in the opinion of the Town Manager, it is in the best interest of the Town to do so.

Mayo Farm Agricultural Land Lease [March 12]

The Town of Stowe is seeking proposals by parties interested in using all or a portion of approximately ±125 acres of the Mayo Farm for agricultural purposes for the next three seasons. Fields D & E are not available for agricultural crops for human consumption. All proposals will be in accordance with the lease. Copies of the draft lease, along with a map of the available fields included in the lease, are available at www.stowevt.gov/bids or may be obtained at the Town Manager’s Office, 67 Main Street, 802-253-7350. 

Proposals should include projected uses (crops to be raised or animals to be pastured); the amount of acreage desired on which fields; and shall include the price to be paid per year for each of the next three years.  Lessee awarded the bid must provide a certificate of insurance demonstrating that they have a $1 million dollars in general liability / property damage insurance naming the Town as an additional insured.

Proposals are due to the Town Manager’s Office (67 Main Street, Stowe, VT 05672) no later than 10:00 AM local time on Wednesday, March 12, 2025

The Town reserves the right to take other factors into consideration other than price in awarding the proposal.  Through its Town Manager, the Town of Stowe reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, in part or whole, to waive any irregularities or informalities therein, split proposals, or to negotiate with any qualified source if doing so is in the best interest of the Town.
